“Our children have learnt resilience, they’ve learnt a whole host of skills through this project, but most importantly, they’ve learnt to bridge east and west. They’ve learnt about collaboration across the nations, they’ve learnt about the rich heritage and the tapestry of life in the UAE.”
Brendan Law, Headmaster
In a celebration of Eastern and Western cultures, Cranleigh Abu Dhabi undertook an ambitious two-part performing and arts project in November 2016. The project was inspired by Beautiful World – a poem written by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Father of the Nation.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE, and in collaboration with Zayed University, the project started with an exciting exhibition of original calligraphy works. The artist, Narjes Noureddine, showcased her new collection at Cranleigh Senior School. The Exhibition was opened by His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development and ran in association with Abu Dhabi Art 2016.
